NBA PRESIDENT SET TO BE CONFERRED WITH NATIONAL HONOURS

 Today in recognition of his contributions to the country as a reputable legal practitioner and for his devotion to mankind, the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mr. Yakubu Chonoko Maikyau, SAN, will receive the national honor of Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).



The NBA President will receive the national honor at an event presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja today the 11th of October 2022.

The NBA President has expressed his gratitude to God Almighty, and the Federal Government for the national award. 

He stated that he remains committed to a Bar that focuses on promoting the rule of law in Nigeria.

The national honors will also be conferred on other lawyers who have been nominated and the list  includes  the Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Mr. Tony Ojukwu SAN, the Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, and the Chairman of the Body of Benchers, Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN.
