THE NIGERIAN ARMY RESCUES TWO ADDITIONAL CHIBOK GIRLS.

Yana Pogu and Rejoice Sanki, two additional Chibok girls, have been found and saved in Borno, according to the Nigerian military.

Major General Christopher Musa, the theatre commander of the North-East Joint Operation, revealed this to reporters in Maiduguri, the state capital.

Major General Shuaibu Waidi, the General Officer Commanding the 7 Division in Maiduguri, who introduced them to the media, stated that they would be turned over to the Borno State Government following a medical assessment for them and their children.

According to Waidi, Pogu, who is listed as number 19 on the list of kidnapped Chibok girls, was found on September 29, 2022, in Mairari village, Bama Local Government Area, with her four children—two boys and twin girls—by soldiers from the 21 Armoured Brigade while on a clearance patrol.

Rejoice Sanki, who is listed as being number 70 on the list of Chibok females, and her two children were saved by 222 Battalion soldiers on October 2, 2022, according to Waidi.

He continued by saying that the ladies who had been saved were being examined medically together with their kids in preparation for ultimate transfer to the Borno State Government.

Musa assured that the new camp was in a secure location that the military could secure when he also announced the opening of a new camp to house repentant Boko Haram members who were surrendering.

According to the assessment, Musa stated, "we looked at the locations that can be effectively guarded."

13 Chibok girls had been rescued by the military in the last five months. Approximately 96 of the 276 girls who were kidnapped by terrorists in 2014 are still held captive at the time of publishing this news.
