Empowering Women in Business: My Experience at the WIPO IP Women Business Summit
Yesterday, I had the privilege of attending the WIPO IP Women Business Summit, a powerful gathering focused on personal branding, intellectual property (IP), and business growth for women entrepreneurs. Organized by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the event brought together dynamic women from various industries to discuss how IP rights can be leveraged for personal and business success.
Key takeaways from the summit included:
🔹 The Power of Personal Branding – How women can position themselves as industry leaders and build influence.
🔹 Intellectual Property as a Business Asset – Understanding trademarks, patents, and copyrights to protect and monetize innovation.
🔹 Scaling and Growth Strategies – How women entrepreneurs can navigate challenges and access global markets.
🔹 Legal Frameworks for Women in Business – The role of laws and policies in fostering an enabling environment.
As a lawyer and advocate for women’s empowerment, this event reinforced the importance of equipping women with the right legal and business tools to protect their ideas and thrive in the marketplace. Intellectual property is not just about innovation—it’s about ownership, recognition, and long-term success.
A big thank you to WIPO and NBAFW STATE LEAD HAJIA HADIZA AFEGBUA FOR the opportunity to attend this impactful initiative!
I look forward to more conversations and actions that support women in business.
