NBA NEC Decision on 2025 Annual General Conference Venue & State of Emergency in Rivers

Following deliberations at the NEC meeting, members voted on the proposed relocation of the 2025 Annual General Conference from Port Harcourt.

The resolution reached is for the NBA EXCO to conduct a thorough evaluation of the situation, including a critical assessment of the security architecture of Rivers State, and reconvene an emergency meeting to report back to NEC.


Additionally, NEC ratified the NBA President’s speech on the state of emergency in Rivers State, reaffirming the Association’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and advocating for stability.

We await the EXCO’s report, which will guide the final resolution on the conference venue.
