The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced that Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, FCIArb (UK), FIMC, Life Bencher will be among the distinguished speakers at its Annual General Conference, scheduled to hold in Enugu State on August 25, 2025.
Aare Akinboro will deliver an address on the thought-provoking topic:
“Nigerian Bar Association: A Peep into the Future.”
His session promises to spark meaningful conversations about the direction, opportunities, and responsibilities of the Bar in the years ahead.
A Distinguished Legal Career
Born on 21 November 1965 to the family of Late Senator (Chief) Ademola Hezekiah Akinboro and Late Chief Mrs. Hannah Adefunke Akinboro of Kuta Kingdom, Aiyedire L.G.A, Osun State, Aare Akinboro has built an illustrious career defined by excellence, service, and leadership.
A graduate of Lagos State University (LASU) with an LL.B (Hons) in 1990, he was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1991 after completing his studies at the Nigerian Law School. He began his legal journey at the Plateau State Ministry of Justice, later honing his skills at Femi Lanlehin & Co. and Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN) & Co.
In 1996, he founded Akinboro & Co., a top-tier law firm with its principal office in Abuja and branches in Lagos and Port Harcourt. He is a Harvard-trained negotiator, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC), and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
Service to the Nation and the Bar
Aare Akinboro’s national service record is extensive. He has served on:

Within the NBA, he has been Secretary and Chairman of the Abuja Branch, Past General Secretary of the NBA, Life Member of the National Executive Committee, and Member of the General Council of the Bar. As a Life Bencher, he sits in the Body of Benchers, the highest decision-making body in Nigeria’s legal profession.
Humanitarian Footprint
Beyond the courtroom and boardroom, Aare Akinboro is a philanthropist and humanitarian whose generosity has impacted countless lives. In recognition of his contributions, his community honoured him with the chieftaincy title Aare Bamofin of Kuta Kingdom.
Personal Life
He is married to Mrs. Flora Taiwo Uruejoma-Akinboro, and their marriage is blessed with three children – Tiwatayo Ademola, Arolake Ajoke, and Adedolapo Akintunde. His hobbies include travelling, reading, sports, intellectual discourse, and research.
