GOODWILL MESSAGE
FROM AARE OLUMUYIWA AKINBORO, SAN, FCIArb (UK), FIMC, LIFE BENCHER
TO THE NIGERIAN BAR ASSOCIATION, ONDO BRANCH, ON THE OCCASION OF HER 2025 LAW WEEK
I am delighted to extend my warmest felicitations to the Chairman, Executives, Planning Committee, and entire members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ondo Branch, on the occasion of your 2025 Law Week.
The chosen theme, “Dying Embers of Professional Ethics: Blunted Sword of the Gate Keepers,” is both timely and thought-provoking. At a period when the core values of our profession face unprecedented tests, this theme serves as a rallying call for us to rekindle the flame of integrity, restore the full sharpness of our ethical sword, and safeguard the honour of the Bar.
I commend the branch for assembling such eminent minds to lead these conversations, not only to diagnose the challenges but also to proffer solutions that will strengthen our collective resolve to uphold justice, fairness, and the rule of law.
May your deliberations this week ignite renewed commitment, inspire higher standards of professional conduct, and chart pathways for the future of the legal profession in Nigeria.
I wish you a successful, impactful, and memorable Law Week.
Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN
FCIArb (UK), FIMC, Life Bencher
