Building Capacity, Trusting the Process: Aare Akinboro SAN Engages Young Lawyers at the YLF Nyanya-Karu Meeting
This evening, the Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) of the Nigerian Bar Association, Nyanya-Karu Branch, hosted a vibrant gathering of emerging legal minds, reaffirming the Bar’s enduring commitment to mentorship and growth.
Addressing the forum, Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, urged young lawyers to build capacity, trust the process, and position themselves strategically for the fulfilment of their professional dreams and desires.
In his words, “Success at the Bar is not an accident. It is the result of deliberate growth, humility, and consistency. Build competence in your chosen field, trust the process even when it seems slow, and always position yourself where opportunity can find you.”
Aare Akinboro commended the leadership of the YLF for their dedication to the development of young lawyers within the branch and emphasized that mentorship remains a central pillar of professional excellence. He encouraged young lawyers to seek knowledge, build networks rooted in integrity, and stay purpose-driven despite the challenges of the legal terrain.
The meeting also served as a moment of reconnection for many lawyers who had journeyed together through different seasons of the branch’s evolution. The energy and commitment of the YLF Nyanya-Karu once again proved that the future of the Bar is indeed bright when the younger generation is equipped, encouraged, and empowered.
As Aare aptly put it, “The Bar thrives when every lawyer, young or old, understands that we are all part of a single chain, and each link must be strong.”
