Tribute to Pastor Ruth Kaburuk Bandung
Delivered at the Valedictory Session in Honour of Her Retirement as Director, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST)
It is with profound honour and heartfelt joy that I pay tribute to an outstanding professional, a servant of God, and an exemplary leader, Pastor Ruth Kaburuk - @Bandung on the occasion of her retirement as Director, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Nigerian Postal Service.
In her years of service, Pastor Ruth has distinguished herself as a woman of integrity, sound judgment, and unwavering commitment to excellence. She has combined her formidable legal expertise with a deep sense of responsibility, ensuring that NIPOST upheld the highest standards of compliance, accountability, and good governance. Under her watch, the Legal and Risk/Compliance Directorate became not just a department, but a pillar of stability and trust within the institution.
What makes her legacy truly remarkable is that beyond her professional brilliance, she carried into her work the values of faith, humility, and compassion. As a pastor, mentor, and role model, she reminded us that service in the public sphere must be guided by principles higher than self interest, principles rooted in truth, fairness, and a genuine concern for humanity.
Today, as we celebrate her remarkable journey, we also honour the seeds she has sown in lives, in systems, and in the hearts of colleagues who were privileged to serve with her. Retirement does not mark an end, but a new beginning, and I am confident that Pastor Ruth will continue to be a light and blessing in whatever paths she chooses.
On behalf of my family and the Project Bar community, I extend my warmest congratulations to Pastor Ruth Kaburuk - Bandung.
May the years ahead be filled with health, joy, peace, and the satisfaction of a legacy well lived.
Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN, FCIArb (UK), FICMC, Life Bencher.
Past General Secretary Nigerian Bar Association.
