THE STREET LAWYER NG SET TO HOST IT'S FIRST CIVIC DIALOGUE IN ABUJA NIGERIA.
The law does not exist only in courtrooms and statutes. It lives in communities, in lived experiences, in the everyday realities of people who may never step into a courtroom but feel the impact of justice or the absence of it, every day.
It is from this understanding that Street Law Conversations™ was conceived.
On Saturday, 13 December 2025, The Street Lawyer NG will host the maiden edition of Street Law Conversations™ Intimate Live Edition in Abuja, a carefully curated civic dialogue designed to interrogate one central question: “The Bar and the Street, Who Speaks for the People?”
This is an intimate, idea driven gathering that brings together voices from law, governance, activism, youth leadership, and civic advocacy to reflect on justice not just as a legal concept, but as a lived reality. It is a space created deliberately for listening, reflection, and honest conversation.
Street Law Conversations™ recognises that while the Bar shapes the law, the street lives with its consequences. Yet, conversations about justice often happen far away from the people most affected by it.
This initiative seeks to bridge that gap by creating a room where experience meets expertise, where institutional voices sit alongside lived realities, and where courage and responsibility are valued as much as credentials.
The Intimate Live Edition is intentionally curated to preserve the quality of dialogue and ensure meaningful engagement. With a limited audience, short speaker reflections, guided interaction, and moderated synthesis, the focus is on ideas, not performance; substance, not spectacle.
At a time when public trust in institutions is under strain and civic conversations are often reduced to noise, Street Law Conversations™ offers something different, a return to thoughtful dialogue, shared responsibility, and collective reflection on the future of justice.
This maiden edition invites participants to reflect not only on who speaks for the people, but on who listens, who acts, and what kind of justice we are building for those who come after us.
Street Law Conversations™ is where the Bar meets the Street, and something new begins.
If you have registered, we look forward to receiving you tomorrow.
